Struggling to be seen thru the grey clouds of a cold winter’s day. It is always brighter where it touches the ground. It spends so much time stretching itself down to the earth that when it finally reaches the surface it puts on it’s most colorful show for everyone to see. It wonders how it looks as it spans across the sky. How long can it last this time? Several seconds or several minutes? Well, as long as it can keep it’s tones vivid, it will put on the best display possible. Maybe some people will come to see if there’s gold waiting for them where it’s end touches the grass. It is very proud of itself as children pause in their winter play to point out all the dazzling colors and smile. They drag their parents outdoors by the hand and show them the wondrous glory of the waiting winter rainbow hanging in the sky.
